How to Measure a Court Shirt

Measuring Collar

Wrap the measuring tape around your neck, positioning it at the base of your neck or as low as possible.  Do not pull too tight, this will create unnecessary tension.  Hold your index finger behind the measuring tape for most accurate sizing.

Measuring Chest / Bust

Take the tape measure and wrap it around the widest part of your chest / bust.  Keep the tape measure straight and parallel to ground.

Measuring Waist

Stand up straight and measure around your natural waistline which is the narrowest part of your waist.

Measuring Sleeve Length

Stand up straight with your arms at your side.  Measure from the middle of the back of your neck, over the top of your shoulder down to the point where you want your cuff to sit.

Measuring Shirt Length

Measure from center back down to the end of the hem.

How to Measure a Barrister Robe

Measuring Chest / Bust

Take the tape measure and wrap it around the widest part of your chest / bust.  Keep the tape measure straight and parallel to ground.

Measuring Sleeve Length

Stand up straight with your arms at your side.  Measure from the middle of the back of your neck, over the top of your shoulder down to the point where you want your cuff to sit.

How to Measure a Barrister Waistcoat

Measuring Chest / Bust

Take the tape measure and wrap it around the widest part of your chest / bust.  Keep the tape measure straight and parallel to ground.

Measuring Sleeve Length

Stand up straight with your arms at your side.  Measure from the middle of the back of your neck, over the top of your shoulder down to the point where you want your cuff to sit.

Measuring Point to Point

This measurement should only be taken with a jacket on body.  Measure from the spot where the shoulder seam joins the sleeve across the back, passing under the collar to the same seam on the other side.

Measuring Waist

Stand up straight and measure around your natural waistline which is the narrowest part of your waist.

Measuring Hips

Stand up straight and measure around your natural waistline which is the narrowest part of your waist.

Measuring Back Length

Place measuring tape from the nape, down the back to about 2 inches below the top of your waistband.

Measuring Front Length

Place measuring tape from the nape, the intersection of the collar and the back center seam.  Continue over the neck and down across the chest / bust, to about 3 inches below the top of your waistband.
